9 Years!

.

I know this post is over a week late, but I have to post about it!

Last Wednesday, Drew and I celebrated our 9th  Wedding Anniversary!!!  9 years!  Anymore, that is a huge deal!

It has been a crazy 9 years.  Lots of ups and downs, but as I have said before, we always come out of it bigger and stronger than ever.

We have learned a lot and grown a lot over these years and know that no matter what, we will love each other until our last breath.

I love you babe and I am so thankful you are mine

Julianna's State Fair

The week before school was out, Julianna's class held a "State Fair."  Each student had to pick a state and then learn all about it.  They invited parents to come to their State Fair, where they each told us all about their wonderful State.

Julianna had Washington.  She loved learning about that State and would come home each night excited about some new fact she had learned.  On the day of the State Fair, each student had to bring a food that had to do with their State.  Jules brought Apples.  It was such a fun way for her to learn about something new and to get excited about it!!!

Mother's Day

May is always a fun month for me because I usually celebrate my birthday and Mother's Day within a week of each other!  Lots of love for me during that month!!!

For Mother's Day this year, we hung out as a family and had a wonderful day together.  We had my Aunt and Uncle and our Friends Linda and Sarah (and kids) over for brunch.  Drew made Beef Tenderloin, with DeBurgo sauce, roasted broccoli and mashed potatoes.  Yummo!

We enjoyed a great day of fellowship with friends and family and time together.  It was the perfect day!

Jules picked out my gifts by herself this year and they were amazing!  I received a necklace made from a piece of art she created, a Willow Tree figurine that depicts her and I and a recipe book made by all of the 1st graders.

My Mom also surprised me and gave me a Collectors Set of my favorite movie - Singin' in the Rain.   I LOVE it!  Can't wait for it to become one of Julianna's favorite movies!

Teacher Appreciation Week

This year, Jules and I had fun putting together some goodies for the teachers at her school.  The PTA did a Dr. Seuss theme for Teacher Appreciation Week and our cupcakes were a big hit!

My Birthday

This year, Sue and Dad were able to come down for the day, to celebrate my (ahem) 35th birthday.  It was a beautiful day and after we made a Hobby Lobby run, we celebrated with ribs off the grill, fresh asparagus and birthday cake.  Lots of birthday cake!

It was a great day and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

These are my gifts from Drew and Jules.  A couple of years ago, I started collecting Pie Birds.  I just love all of the different ones that are out there.  For my birthday, Drew gave me a collection of Le Creuset Pie Birds that I just adore!!  He just gets me and loves to surprise me every birthday and Christmas!

Life.

Life has been crazy and good.  Lots of things to keep us busy at night and on the weekends.  I try to take pictures of it all, but I never seem to find the energy to post things on here.  I need to continue to keep up with this blog, because it really is a scrapbook of sorts for our family to look back on.

The next few posts will be about things that happened during the month of May.  It was a busy month with lots of visitors and filled with lots of fun!!!

Feelin' the Love!

This week is Administrative Proffesional's Week!

I always forget how much I love working at a school during this week.  There are 5 of us in our school and we have been VERY spoiled all week!!

Lots of gift cards for coffee and food, treats, chocolate and small gifts.

One of our favorite gifts was this beautiful poster made by the students in our Autism classroom.  Just the fact that they were willing to get their hands dirty and create this piece of art for us, means more than you can know.  We just cherish it!!!

Today our boss gave me some cash to be able to take all of the Secretaries out for lunch.  Someone else is taking on our duties for the time we are gone.  So nice!  We'll see if they can handle it while we are all gone!  Ha!!

Easter 2013

We had a wonderful Easter this year!  Drew was home with us all weekend and it was beautiful here in Mid-Mo.  We dyed eggs, went to a great Easter Service, had an Easter egg hunt and ate a wonderful meal.  I love having all of this time with my little family.  So blessed!

Someone didn't like the smell of the dye. :)

St. Louis Trip

A few weeks ago we took a day and toured around St. Louis.  It was so much fun and we are looking forward to exploring the city more since we live so close to it now!  :)

Our little fashionista, ready for her day of fun!
The Arch was really cool to see!

Entrance to the Zoo.  We tried to get in.  It was packed!  Took almost an hour just to make it to the entrance and once we were there, no parking anywhere.  We will save that for another day!

We had lunch at a Root Beer Brewery.  It was awesome!  You could see them making it while you ate.  Such a fun experience for all of us!

We couldn't be in the same town as a Build-A-Bear and not stop.  This one is actually the first one ever in business.  It was a fun time and Jules loves her new friend!  :)

Pretty fun day.  Looking forward to going back and exploring some more!

Iowa Visit

Here are some pics from our trip to Iowa in February.  I know these are a couple months late, but life has been crazy.

We had a great weekend and it was SO nice to be able to see Mia and to snuggle with her.  We are planning a trip to Branson to see them in July.  Can't wait for more time with my precious niece!! :)

I love, love, love her!!

This picture is one of my faves.  Mia looks JUST like Lauren as a baby! :)

Jules and Bodhi!  Such a beautiful baby!

Picture of when they first saw each other.  I couldn't get it to load at the top of this post.  They love each other!!!

We were so lucky to be able to see Morgan while we were there.  He came through town the first night.  We were all excited to see him.  It had been over a year since we last saw him!!
