NINE new posts today! I feel a sense of accomplishment that they are all done and forever out there in blog land.

Read them and enjoy.

Happy 25th Anniversary Sue and Dad!!

Last Sunday (1/10/10) was Sue and Dad's 25th Anniversary! They wanted to celebrate by going to The Machine Shed for dinner. It was a fun night and I feel so blessed to have 2 great step-parents in my life.

I will never forget the night we met Sue. My dad told Lauren and I that a special person was coming to dinner. We were so excited to meet this new person. We were just hoping beyond hoping that it was someone he was dating. When Sue came to the door (keep in mind it was the middle of winter) she was wearing a puffy coat and it was kind of hard to see her. Lauren yelled to my dad "Dad, there's some man here to see you!" Yeah, it was Sue! She had dinner with us that night and we were just as smitten as my dad. In fact he was so smitten that he asked her to marry him the next week and they were married a few short weeks later. Seriously. They had their first date the weekend after Thanksgiving 1984 and were married January 10th, 1985.

Here we are 25 years later! Sue and Dad have been such a blessing to us over the years and I can't wait to see what the next 25 years will bring them!

We love you both!
Happy 25th Anniversary!!!

Surprise! We thought it fitting that for their 25th anniversary they have a cake with 2500 calories. The thing was hugely ridiculous!

This is AFTER 10 people had eaten it!
Great night with a great family!

I am only posting this pic, because that chin and hopefully 50 pounds will be gone by their anniversary next year. There you have writing. My New Years Resolution as cliche as it may sound.

P.S. - Let me add that I DID NOT have ANY of the aforementioned chocolate cake. Mainly because I don't like chocolate, but also because that would definitely not be helping the cause. :)

First Family Game Night - 1/1/10

Our first Family Game Night of the year was a success! Even though the temps were below zero, we still had a few brave souls venture out and make it our house. Drew made it worth their time by having homemade chili, nachos and little smokies ready for everyone to enjoy!

What a fun night! Can't wait until next month - 2/3/10!!!

Connect Four seemed to be the game of choice that night!

Spoons! Is one of my new favorite games. Too fun!

The girls loved the new Curious George Zoo game (well I think Jules loved it and the older girls just went along with it. Still they are good sports for playing with a 3 year old!)

Post Christmas Week in Review

Caught the movie "The Princess and the Frog" with a friend from school/work and her daughter. The girls were too cute. The movie could have been better, but we got free tickets from my mom, so I am not complaining!

Jules spent the night with Uncle Morgan (and Amy and Grandma and Grandpa Bush) while Mary and I checked into our poolside suite and the Comfort Suites. It was a great time. She hit the pool and I hit the hot-tub. Relaxing and wonderful night for Mary and I!

Mary and I hit the ground running. We had gift cards burning holes in our pockets and we weren't afraid to use them! We met up with Sarah (Mary's mom) at Jordan Creek and she treated us to a manicure (me) and a pedicure (Mary). Such a sweet and unexpected surprise! We finally made it home by 8:00 that night. I was exhausted but content - especially with the deals I found! Mary said it was one of the best days ever and the best Christmas present ever!!!

Julianna had her first play date with her BFF Anna from school! It was such a great morning. The girls played and created while I had the chance to get to know Anna's mom. A wonderful lady who I think will become a great friend. We can't wait to get together again!

1st Family Game Night!!! New post dedicated to this to follow!

Time with the Bush side of the family

On the Sunday after Christmas we were able to spend some time with my Uncle Curt and his family. Now if you have had the privilege of being part of a Bush Family gathering, you know you are in for a good time. We had fun hanging out and talking of of course....MEETING RACHEL'S FIANCE!!!!!
Say what!?!?! That's right Rachey is getting married! I am so excited for her even though I more than likely will not be able to go to the wedding (stupid snow days), though we are trying to figure out a way -and her fiance Steve is just wonderful. We are very happy for the two of them and can't wait to see what God has in store for them as a married couple!

Look at what my little fashionista put together! I am not even lying. She came out of her room dressed like this ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa Bush's. So glad to see that my 3 years of color coordination and putting together outfits for her was not in vain!

Mary and her "Wii" actions seemed to provide a lot of entertainment.
Aunt Pam and Cousin Katie
I love this pic, because Jules who is normally shy, just sat right down next to Cousins Ben & Val like it was nothing.
Rachel and her new bling!

Family Christmas with Mary

After our Christmas morning with Mary we took her to her mom's house, so she was not able to spend time with my family. We also had to cancel our Christmas with Drew's dad and Diane because Bob got sick. So we had an impromptu Christmas Dinner/Celebration on Saturday night.
It was nice. Everyone was able to give Mary their gifts and she was able to give everyone the gifts she purchased for them. And who doesn't love a night of pizza, sweets, gifts and family time!

Mr. Stinson and Mr. Stinson

Jules always thinks everyone needs her help unwrapping their gifts. :)

Too bad she didn't get to wear this for very long this season....
Gotta love a good movie basket filled with goodies and James Bond movies!
Drew's step-mom Diane. Loved her new earrings!

Think she likes pink!?!
Oh look Jules has changed clothes. Imagine that - a new outfit MUST be broken in as soon as she gets it. Her philosophy - not mine.
I just think this pic is hilarious. What can I say - our family is a family of total goofballs!

Aunt Ginny's

It was a little sad at Aunt Ginny's this year as that was the last time we would celebrate anything at that house. They sold it and moved into a new townhome last week. While I am happy for them, it was bittersweet. We have had so many wonderful moments and memories at her house over the years. But I know that there are many more to be made as long as we are all together as a family!

Grandpa Tonsi

Jules loved her new vest from Grandpa Tonsi. You will see in a future post just how much she loved it. :)
