Birthday at the Zoo!
Monday was Julianna's 2nd Birthday and we decided to spend the day at the zoo. We started out the morning by letting her open her gifts from Drew, Mary and I. She was so cute tearing into everything!
Then we headed to the Des Moines Zoo with my mom and Tom and Aunt La La. I have to say that our zoo is the perfect size for Julianna. She just loved running around looking at everything. The highlight was watching the elephants Rosie and JP put on a show at the end of our day. Jules was a little scared at first, but once she found out that JP was a baby, she was all about it. We all loved the zoo so much that we bought a season pass. This will also get us into the Omaha Zoo, so we plan to head over there sometime next month!
I think Jules had a great day. Throughout the day we would hear her singing "happy birthday to nana", "happy birthday to nana"...so she knew the day was all about her!
