My first year...

O.k. so I know it is the end of the month, but I have been thinking about our New Years resolutions and goals that Drew and I have for our family this year. While I was thinking about this, it hit me, THIS IS MY FIRST FULL YEAR AS A MOM! Yes, I know I have been Mary's step-MOM for almost 3 years, but this is my first year as someone's MOM, just plain old MOM. Whew! It makes me tear up when I think about my little babe Julianna. Just how amazing she is, how beautiful she is and she is mine all mine (well I know I share her with so many others), but I am her only MOM. I have so many hopes and dreams for her. I want her to be kind, giving, loving, God-loving and God-fearing. I want her to have dreams and go for them, I want her to love and be loved. Most of all I want her to look back on her life and think that I was a great MOM to her. She is such a blessing to me. Just last night I realized how precious and wonderful she truly is. Drew is sick, so he went right to bed and I spent the whole evening with her, just the 2 of us. I swear when she looks into my eyes, and we just stare at each other, I could just melt. We had a great night and I know that there are so many more precious moments like that to come. And, I can't wait to experience them!
